Peer Groups in the Florida Baptist Association

Big Bend Fellowship of Church Musicians

This is a fellowship for full-time, part-time or volunteer church music leaders and musicians from various denominations. They meet on the 2nd Monday of each month at a church or restaurant from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Twice a year the BBFCM presents a musical concert using singers, actors and musicians from many churches. The first is a Youth Musical that features Middle and High School students in a concert that uses drama, solos, choir, orchestra and a band. The second concert, Celebration of Praise, features a large combined adult choir and orchestra from many local churches.

Youth Ministry Forum

YMF meets on the third Thursday of the month at 11:45 a.m. at Beef O'Bradys on Thomasville Road across from the Miracle 5 Theater. YMF is for people who are engaged in youth ministry in the Capital City Region. The monthly meeting includes fellowship, a devotional and prayer. During the year, there are often events that several churches collaborate together on, including Disciple Now Weekend, summer camps, retreats, See You at the Pole, concerts and mission projects.

Church Planters

There is a monthly lunch fellowship for church planters in our Association. The meeting dates are flexible, so the best way to know about the day and place for the meeting is to get your name added to the email list. There are currently 10 church plants in our Association meeting in storefronts, schools, a trailer, a movie theater, a VFW building and the chapel of another church. These monthly fellowships are a great opportunity to support one another and learn from one another.

Senior Pastor Fellowships

Several peer groups meet monthly for senior pastors. If you would like to join one of these, or start a new one, please contact the Florida Baptist Association at 877-7600 and we would be glad to assist you.
