Preaching/Pulpit Supply/Teaching · The Executive Director, the Associate Executive Director and other ministers in our Association are available to assist when needed
Peer Learning Groups · Pastor Gathering - pastors meet each month for lunch, fellowship and discussion about ministry ● Big Bend Fellowship of Church Musicians - church musicians meet monthly for lunch and to plan joint ministry projects
Training Opportunities · Operation: Training Church Leadership – each February, many workshops to choose from · Sunday School and Small Groups Spectacular – usually in August, many workshops to choose from · Sunday School - individual church conferences as requested · Vacation Bible School workshops · Annual Church Profile training · Specialty conferences for individual churches - Teacher Training, Witnessing Workshops, January Bible Study, New Member Classes, Search Team training, Interim Pastor Ministry, Small Group Ministry, Single Adult Ministry, Divorce Care Ministry, Community Missions Strategy, Developing a Mission and Strategy for Our Church, and more.
Mission Projects · World Changers: In June, construction teams sent by NAMB come work on homes in our Association. Churches provide meals. · Disaster Relief trips facilitated · Joint mission projects in Tallahassee · Meals for the Baptist Campus Ministry are provided by local churches · Projects taken on by the Ministry Directors
New Church Starts · Assisting persons, churches and interested groups in the planting of new churches.
Financial Support · Financial assistance to new churches · Financial assistance to FAMU, FSU, and TCC Baptist Campus Ministries
Interim Ministry of the Florida Baptist Association · Churches and interim pastors are provided training to help during the time of transition after a senior pastor leaves
Meeting with Church Committees & Ministry Teams · Training for the pastor-search process · Training for interim-pastor ministry · Other help with church-related issues
Events · Evening of Worship and Praise - A joint Sunday night worship with all the churches in the Association featuring special music, testimonies and a guest speaker. · Open House at the FBA - Each November the Association hosts a open house. Pastors, staff and church members from all the Association churches are invited.
Communication · Innovator - our monthly newsletter provides information about upcoming ministry events and training opportunities. · Web Page - www.floridabaptistassociation.org · Mail-outs, emails, phone calls, and church visits each week. · Information Center for Southern Baptist life, activities, events and programs
Resources for Churches · The FBA provides resources for local churches (meeting rooms, Risograph, video projector, Discipleship video and written materials from our library)
