OUR MISSION
The mission of First Baptist Church of Tallahassee is to be a God-centered, Bible-directed, people-focused, caring body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, led by the Holy Spirit in worshiping, serving, and sharing Christ, and in equipping believers to carry out the Great Commission in the community and throughout the world.
INVITATION
At the end of each Sunday worship service, we invite you to respond as God leads you. If you have made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, wish to join our church, or would like to pray with one of our staff members, please make your way forward after the message, where our pastor and members of our staff will be waiting.
How You May Join Our Church:
Profession of Faith and Baptism
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you may tell one of the ministers about your faith. A minister will introduce you as a candidate for membership in our church and for believer's baptism by immersion.
Transfer of Membership from Another Church
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, are already a member of a Baptist church, and wish to join our church, we will request a "letter" of transfer from your present church.
Statement
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, and are a member of a church other than a Baptist church, you may become a member of our church by your "statement" of faith in Christ. Our church requires baptism as a believer by immersion before becoming a member.
Associate Membership
If you are a temporary resident of this area (a college student, for example) you may keep your membership in your home church while you are under the care of our church.
