The mission of Seminole Baptist Church is to equip believers to:
REACH UP to God in fulfillment of the Great Commandment to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” and “Love your neighbor as yourself”;
And REACH OUT to others in fulfillment of the Great Commission and “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.”
Core Values
We value people. We believe all people are equally important to God. We believe the church should create a climate of acceptance for all people and do whatever is necessary to bring the lost to faith in Christ and believers to membership in his church. (Galatians 3:28; Luke 15:10; 1 Corinthians 9:22)
We value relationships. We believe that believers should work to build meaningful relationships with each other and resolve conflict in those relationships with love and diligence. We believe that cultivating relationships with unbelievers is the most effective way to bring them to faith in Christ. (John 13:34-35; Matthew 5:34; Colossians 4:5)
We value Scripture. We believe that Scripture is applicable to all people, in all cultures, at all times and is essential for life transformation for all believers. (2 Timothy 3:16; James 1:22)
We value commitment. We believe that complete devotion to Christ and his mission should be normal for every believer. (Luke 9:23; Mark 12:30)
We value authenticity. We believe that believers should live out their faith wherever they go. (2 Corinthians 1:12)
We value service. We believe that every believer should discover their gift(s) and abilities and use them in a meaningful place of service in the church. (1 Corinthians 12:1; 1 Peter 4:10)
We value growth. We believe that a healthy church should grow both spiritually and numerically. (Ephesians 4:14-15; Matthew 28:19-20)
We value relevance and innovation. We believe that the church should communicate the truth of Scripture in culturally relevant terms and use forms of worship and ministry which address the needs of people in contemporary society. (Luke 5:36-38)
We value excellence. We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people. (1 Corinthians 3:13; Ecclesiastes 9:10)
